From the sublime to the ridiculous

*Self-indulgent post warning*

My first car looked very like this:

Ford Capri
By digitalFRANCE

My next car could well look like this:

Yes it's very wheelchair accessible, good value, economical, will cost me nothing to buy as the dealer I visited today will take my existing car and just do a swap, and I'm sure that lots of families think they are fab.  But as a car lover I am mortified.  The dark glasses and loud music will be a permanent fixture from now on I think...

  1. @apples and autobots - I do hope you're not laughing at me *looks shocked* or perhaps you're a car lover too? Whichever way I appreciate the comment :)

  2. Oh sweetie......I still remember the capri, so cool.....

    It could be worse, we have a Galaxy as it is the only car big enough to pull the caravan!! without having to have a 4x4. It is so big, I spent the week I was back in the UK banging my heads on all the doors of the cars I was getting in and out of as I am just so used to walking into a car now and not having to bend at all - lol

    We always hankered after a Porsche!! one day hopefully although it wouldn't pull much.

    Keep wearing the glasses and playing the music and maybe it will be ok!!! :) xx

  4. Blimey I had forgotten how elegant a Ford Capri is. Unfortunately my laptop is not showing me the picture of your next vehicle. Never mind, I have a really good idea of what it is likely to look like because my friend has had to resort to a type of minibus for her kids wheelchairs. Maybe one day, you'll get the car of your dreams.

  5. Ah the good old Capri, you can't beat it. I remember having one of the best snogs of my life on the bonnet of one of them! I don't think I'd feel quite so 'in the mood' on your new car ;)

  7. @Helen - oh you're wrong about the Porche, with that much power under the bonnet the car - and sometimes the driver - can 'pull' almost anything lol. And I now have a worrying picture of you with two heads xx

    @Deb - hopefully I'll grow up eventually and stop hankering after unsuitable cars :)

    @SAHMlovingit - you're absolutely right...no danger of Angel wanting to borrow it then :)

    @Casdok - xx
