Do your children like photography? Do they have an 'eye' for it? My son has talked about 'tography' ever since he was little and occasionally borrows the camera. When he does the results are usually quite impressive, but then his Dad is a talented photographer too. One day I hope he'll ask for his own camera - it would be a much better hobby than gaming.
Like many Mums there are very few everyday photos of me: I'm usually the one behind the camera. Except for the ones taken by my son. So here are three images of me, through my son's 'eyes'.

The theme of The Gallery this week is 'eyes' and this entry was inspired by an early morning tweet from @tots100. Click on the coffee mug below to see other entries.
PS He was five when he took the first one :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great and you look lovely, I think your son does have an eye for a good shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanna, I hope so!
DeleteThose are lovely shots :)
ReplyDeleteNot bad for a small boy eh?
DeleteAt least he got you in the frame, which is a quite an achievement at that age! He shows promise!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm thinking..
DeleteFingers crossed that your son's love for photography will bypass the gaming. My first born is driving me crazy with his gaming!! By the way, you don't look tired at all... he took some great photos of you. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm holding onto the dresser for dear life, so I don't fall down lol
DeleteBoth my kids love to take photographs but they have fits and starts but I hope as they get older they will continue to explore with their camera's.

It's a great hobby, I used to take pictures for fun when I was younger, one day I might do more again :) xx
DeleteThat's so sweet; I'm a great believer in the eye forming part of the camera lens and that people actually photograph you as they see you, so that bodes well for these photos
ReplyDeleteHe has: the photos are so 'me'
DeleteHe's done a great job there! I think as mums we often look our best when the kids take the photos because we are happy seeing them do it!
ReplyDeleteThat's true!
DeleteMy son took his first photo of me recently and managed to get just my chest, made me wonder if his dad had put him up to it lol (he is only 3 though!)
ReplyDeletePerhaps as he isn't very tall yet lol?
DeleteLovely pictures x
ReplyDeleteThank you x
DeleteKids can take some of the best, most candid photos, I think. My son took one of me breastfeeding his little sis recently, and I love it as we hardly have any photos of us nursing.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds gorgeous :) x
DeleteThese are really lovely pictures - your son clearly has an eye for it. x
ReplyDeleteI hope so! x
DeleteSuch great photos. He certainly does have an eye for what makes a great photograph. Maybe it will be an interest that will develop into something great and lessen his time on consoles, perhaps? You should introduce him to the world of flickr.com. He'll be hooked in no time. Such a lovely gallery post xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather, I like the fact that those picture are really 'me' and mostly flattering too :) xx
DeleteLovely pictures! Like you, Im usually behind the camera too x
ReplyDeleteYeah it's worth remembering that our kids will want photos of us one day, so it's good to hand over the camera sometimes x
Deleteyou look stunning x
ReplyDeleteSee my son's just a good 'tographer :)
