A week of unexpected treats

It began with a cheque in the post, always a cause for celebrations. And for treats too.

I'm ready to shop now, Mum!

I took Smiley shopping for her autumn wardrobe which she badly needs because even though she is no longer growing, her clothes wear out quickly. And obviously she will need new clothes for her new service that she WILL get confirmed soon (my positive thinking and hard work is going to pay off, I just know it). As usual I wanted to buy up half of Penney's too (Primark in the UK) but I managed to limit myself to just one more sludge coloured long sleeve top to add to my collection...

Then there was a mystery of the banging noise that began on the day of the big wind. The culprit was tracked down mid-afternoon to next door's side gate, but since it only closes from the inside and the owners were on holiday, stopping the banging required scaling a six foot wall. So naturally I got my gymnast daughter to do the climbing, and then let the neighbours know that the problem was solved. It seems that they were quite pleased because this arrived shortly after they came home. We were planning to keep it until Christmas, and then we changed our minds. Cheers!

Finally today Smiley got to go on an outing that wasn't meant for her at all, but she really enjoyed the afternoon out, lots of things to see and people to meet. It was a great way to end the week. Hope yours was good too x

Primark must have a better selection than Penney's does here; I never have much luck there. I actually love your sludge colored top - you can never have too many neutrals. Fingers crossed for another week with good surprises coming up. And I love the picture of Smiley at the beginning, looking like she has a secret!

    1. Thanks Susan! I think that your Penney's and ours are different chains though :)
