What I want for Christmas, a message from Smiley to An Taoiseach (the Irish Prime Minister) Originally posted December 17th 2010:
Dear Mr Cowen,
I am a 14 year old girl with cerebral palsy, and I’m writing to ask if you can make sure that I keep my Home Support, which my Mammy has been told is going to stop shortly. It’s for three hours on a Sunday morning and it only happens once a month, but I really enjoy it. You see my Mam is very busy on Sunday mornings so normally I don't get to do anything very entertaining.
But when I get Home Support, I have a lovely time :D Once I'm up and showered, my support worker takes me out in my wheelchair. Usually we go to the Botanic Gardens, I love watching all the visitors and spotting the squirrels and other animals.
Then we go to the cafe and I have a large slice of chocolate cake.
It's not much and when my Mammy reads about the money that the Government has wasted it seems very unfair that I might have to do without this little monthly treat.

Oh this is so heartfelt. I can only imagine how happy it must make her. And how it must be breaking your heart that she may have to go without. Please let us know if there is anyway to help out, a petition or anything for example. I really hope Smiley gets her wish!
